Ronald A. McBride is the founder and President(ret.) of South Beach Tax & Financial Services. He is an Enrolled Agent and former employee of the Internal Revenue Service. Ron is also a Registered Representative. With his 36 years of experience, Ron is uniquely qualified to represent his clients with the IRS. Ron provides our office with the high professional standards and direction that make South Beach Tax one of the leading tax businesses. Ron is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time with his wife and six grandchildren.
Sheri Nordman, MBA
President/Director
In 2023 Sheri stepped into her father’s shoes as President, continuing the legacy of South Beach Tax and continually making sure that nothing falls through the cracks. Sheri will continue to maintain her own accounting and investment clients and act as a liaison with our broker dealer, LPL Financial. It’s a crushing load, but Sheri handles it with aplomb. Sheri enjoys outdoor activities and traveling with her family.
William J. Mangine III, EA
Associate, Enrolled Agent
William J. Mangine III was the first addition to the staff of South Beach Tax & Financial Services back in 1989. Bill was a former Internal Revenue Service employee. He is an Enrolled Agent with the IRS. He specializes in corporate taxation and is our office tax code expert. Prior to his tax career, Bill spent twenty years in the U.S. Navy and has a solid understanding of the tax code as it applies to the military. He relaxes by spending time with his wife and five grandchildren.
Heather N. Womack, EA
Associate, Enrolled Agent
Heather Womack began her career at South Beach Tax & Financial Services back in 1997 as one of our office administrators and was soon an indispensable tax preparation aide to the boss. Through her tutelage and her avid research and study, Heather has amassed eighteen plus years experience and is now one of South Beach’s Enrolled Agents. She is also a Notary Public. When not reading the tax code, she enjoys time with her family.
Barb McBride
Director of Corporate Affairs
Barb McBride is Director of Corporate Affairs with South Beach Tax. She came to us after fourteen years in Human Resources at BBVA Compass Bank. Barb started out as a “cheesehead” from Wisconsin and is still a diehard Packer fan. She is a Notary Public and an expert at helping people to incorporate in Florida.
Jeffrey S. Hoadley
Certified Financial Planner / Certified Kingdom Advisor/Registered Tax Return Preparer
Jeffrey S. Hoadley is a Certified Financial Planner and Certified Kingdom Advisor with South Beach Tax & Financial Services. A former officer of the U.S. Navy, Jeff has nearly 36 years of experience in financial planning and tax preparation. In addition, Jeff incorporates Biblical principles, and values based advice to assist clients in reaching their financial goals.
Melissa Hurst
Associate
Melissa Hurst is an Associate at South Beach Tax. She has risen through the ranks beginning as an aide to her Dad, Bill. In her years of experience, Melissa has developed superior competency in all phases of tax preparation and developed her own clientele that is growing every year. Melissa is currently working on getting her Enrolled Agent status with the IRS.
Kathy Burns
Associate
Kathleen Burns embarked on her employment at South Beach Tax & Financial Services as an office manager. After a few tax seasons, she changed paths and began her career as a Tax Preparer, going to “tax college” with Ron as her Professor and Mentor. Kathy loves traveling, fishing, and having family get-togethers with her children and grandson.
Robert ‘Mike’ Stewart, MBA, EA
Associate, Enrolled Agent
Robert ‘Mike’ Stewart joined our team in August of 2016 after a twenty-five year career with Bank of America. He has a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama. Mike enjoys spending time with his family and the twenty+ years of golfing with Ron. He was thrilled to come to work in a business focused on delivering for the client with quality and talented professionals.
Jason Agate, BS, EA
Associate, Enrolled Agent
In 2009 Jason made the decision to pursue the tax profession full time. He is an Enrolled Agent and has a Bachelors of Accountancy from Ole Miss, The University of Mississippi. Family is most important to Jason. When not preparing a clients tax returns or representing them to the IRS Jason enjoys spending time with his daughter, at the beach, and cruising the intracoastal waterway.
Brance Unkrich, BS
Associate
Brance moved to Jacksonville Beach with his wife in 2016 after years of traveling for work and school to start a family and further his tax and financial career. Both Brance and his wife are Florida panhandle natives and graduates of the University of Florida. Brance’s back ground spans from mortgage underwriting to commercial insurance with an emphasis in taxation. While not working, you can find Brance out on the road running or spending time with his wife and his two children at the beach.
Leanna Pearce, BA
Tax Accountant & Consultant
Leanna Pearce has a BA in Accounting from Jacksonville University and 30 years of experience in tax preparation. She began her accounting career under the tutelage of her father, who was a tax attorney, eventually setting up a private practice with a substantial client list. In her free time Leanna enjoys volunteering in her local community, and researching family genealogy.
Marie-Christine Pham, BS, EA
Associate, Enrolled Agent
Marie-Christine Pham recently joined South Beach Tax & Financial Services in January 2024, after working for ten years at H&R Block as an Enrolled Agent and Master Tax Advisor. Marie has a Bachelor degree in accounting and engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. With a strong background in tax preparation, Marie is well-versed in handling individual, small business and corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with both federal and state regulations.
Fluent in Vietnamese, French and English, Marie embodies a multicultural perspective that enriches her interactions and demonstrates her commitment to effective communication.
Marie loves gardening, walking on the beach and spending time with her family.
Jeff Nordman
Building Manager
Jeff spent over 25 years of his life as a professional chef working at different Clubs in the area. He decided to join the family business in November of 2015. After signing on he undertook the task of Project Manager to help plan, develop and maintain our new location. In his free time when he is not constructing new building projects in his garage, he enjoys traveling with his wife and two beautiful daughters.
Keena Unkrich
Office Administrator
Keena Unkrich is a native Floridian returning to the Sunshine state after spending several years in the mountains of Virginia.
Keena brings an extensive background in Accounting and Office Management as well as a love to serve and help others.
When Keena is not serving the Team and clients of South Beach, she enjoys spending time with her family and most especially her grandchildren.
Laurel Nichols
Office Assistant
Laurel is a Florida native (raised by Midwesterners; “Go Pack, Go!”). She graduated from UNF with a degree in Psychology and minor in Mass Communications. After years of customer service in local country clubs; she was excited to join the family business. Outside of work, Laurel enjoys spending time with her husband and family, hiking, photography and having intense game nights!
